Photos/video: Furious man walks into Apple store and smashes up every iPhone, laptop and Ipad he sees

A man dressed in shades and wearing a backpack was filmed as he calmly walked into an Apple store in France and in a moment of rage started smashing every available Iphone, Ipad and laptop he could see, with a metal pétanque ball. As he continues to smash the expensive gadgets, he rants in French, before a security guard runs up to him to ask what he's doing. Then surprisingly, he walks out of the shop. No arrests were made, the man hasn't yet been identified.

Troops from the 13 Brigade of the Nigerian Army Calabar, at the early hours of, Friday repelled an attack on its soldiers and killed seven armed militants at Efut Esighi in Bakassi local government area of Cross River.

Capt. Kayode Owolabi, Public Relations Officer for 13 Brigade, Capt. Kayode Owolabi, who disclosed this to newsmen earlier today in Calabar, said that the militants attacked the Army post in Efut Esighi.

Scottish boxer fighting for his life after being knocked out in fifth round

Scottish boxer, Mike Towell, 25, is fighting for his life in hospital after he was knocked out in the fifth round of a bout against Dale Evans. He came into the fight with an impressive record of 11 wins and one draw from his previous 12 fights but couldn't take the heat this time as he was floored by a brutal right hand in the first round. He picked himself up and continued but a smashing left hook in the fifth round did for him and he had to be carried out of the ring on a stretcher.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola expressed hope his players would learn their lesson after losing their 100 percent season record in a spectacular 3-3 Champions League draw at Celtic.

Aiming to equal Tottenham Hotspur’s English record of 11 straight wins at the start of a season, City had to come from behind three times to earn a point in Wednesday’s Group C clash in Glasgow.

Erdogan suggests emergency could extend to a year

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan suggested on Thursday it may be necessary to keep the state of emergency imposed after the July coup bid in place for at least a year.

His comments came a day after he chaired Turkey’s top national security body which called for the current state of emergency to be extended when it expires in October.

According to Abubakar Auta, the Nigerian Army has confirmed the death of his cousin, a soldier who had been missing for a year. He reportedly died on the frontline at Gudunbale area of Borno State. Another family member confirmed the sad news on Facebook. May his soul rest in peace, Amen. Abdul Usman shared photos of the slain soldier and wrote:

Atletico Madrid haunted Bayern Munich once more as Yannick Carrasco inflicted Carlo Ancelotti’s first defeat as coach of the German giants with a 1-0 win at the Vicente Calderon in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Teen kills father, opens fire on schoolyard in South Carolina

A 14-year-old South Carolina boy shot and killed his father then drove to an elementary school playground where he shot and wounded two children and a teacher with a handgun before being tackled by a firefighter who held him till the police arrived, authorities said on Wednesday.

The suspect, whose name has not been released, was accused by police of fatally shooting his 47-year-old father, Jeffrey DeWitt Osborne, then driving a pickup truck about 2 miles (3.2 km) to Townville Elementary School where he crashed into a fence surrounding the playground.

OPEC to cut output by 750,000 barrels per day

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has agreed to cut production by 750,000 barrels a day, Bloomberg News reported Wednesday, citing a delegation member.

The surprise news triggered an immediate spike of more than 5 percent in crude prices, as markets had expected the Algiers meeting to end without agreement.

US threatens to end negotiations with Russia on Syria

US Secretary of State John Kerry called his Russian counterpart on Wednesday and warned him that Washington will end talks on the Syrian conflict unless Moscow halts the assault on Aleppo.

A State Department spokesman said Kerry told Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that plans to set up a joint US-Russia military cell to target jihadist groups in Syria would also be put on hold.

Photos: Suspected Fulani Herdsmen attack & kidnap Catholic priests in Enugu

Same Catholic priests were recently attacked by Fulani Herdsmen in Enugu State. According to reports, the priests, Rev Fr Chetanna Jude Chukwuneke, Fr Emmanuel Dim and Fr Prof Ezeokana were in a car when the incident occurred. Chukwuenke was driving his car along Obimo in Uzo-Uwani when the suspected herdsmen emerged from a bush in a bad spot of the road and shot him in the head but thankfully he didn't die. They also injured the passengers, kidnapping one in the process.

Police in a California city fatally shot a black man who had been acting erratically, prompting protesters to quickly gather and accuse officers of an unjustified killing.

The shooting Tuesday afternoon in El Cajon, 15 miles (24 kilometers) east of San Diego, was the latest in a string of killings of black men by police that have fueled outrage across America.
